Di Canio explains why Cerci may not be the right fit for the Premier League

Former Italy striker Paolo Di Canio believes Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee is too late for the Premier League, urging former club Juventus to sign him in the January transfer window.

“If it were Juventus, I would contact Manchester United to borrow Cerci,” Di Canio told Tuttosport.

“But anyway, Manchester United have been making the wrong decisions for years. Nothing has worked, not even Cerci. He’s too slow for the Premier League.”

“Maybe he’ll prove me wrong by scoring goals and playing well, but in the Premier League, defenders are more aggressive and there are 30 per cent fewer fouls called than in Serie A.”

“Manchester United have so many problems that they could send Zirkzee out on loan. They already have (Rasmus) Hojlund and (Marcus) Rashford who play in that position.”

“He would be the right fit for Juventus and would give Thiago Motta a different skill set to (Dusan) Vlahovic.”

“I would start negotiating now. Loan with option to buy. Serksi is not a real finisher. He doesn’t score 25 goals, but he can create opportunities for his teammates.”

The Red Devils signed Cerci from Bologna last summer for £36.5m.

The Netherlands international made a fine start to life for United as a substitute, scoring the winner as Erik ten Hag’s side edged past Fulham 1-0 on the opening day of the ยูฟ่าเบท https://ufabet999.app season.

However, since then, Serksi has struggled to score in his last nine games in all competitions.
